TECH Clean California Community Outreach

TECH Clean California is seeking local leaders who want to help their communities stay informed about electrification initiatives and support the transition to low-emissions space and water heating. We offer free training sessions to community leaders on the advantages of electrification compared to gas in residential buildings, as well as the best ways to communicate these benefits to your community. Heat Pump Ready is a statewide program—led by TECH Clean California in partnership with ESCO Institute and leading heat pump manufacturers—designed to support residential HVAC training programs and instructors.

Building Initiative for Low-Emissions Development Program (BUILD)

The BUILD Program will provide incentives for the deployment of near-zero emission building technologies in low-income residential buildings. These technologies can reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly beyond what otherwise would be expected to result from the implementation of the prescriptive standards described in Part 6 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations (California Energy Code). Energy Savings Assistance

The Energy Savings Assistance program provides no-cost weatherization services to consumers who meet the CARE income limits. Services provided include attic insulation, energy efficient refrigerators, energy efficient furnaces, weatherstripping, caulking, low-flow showerheads, water heater blankets, and door and building envelope repairs to reduce air infiltration. California Energy-Smart Homes

The California Energy-Smart Homes program is a residential new construction and alterations program that provides incentives to adopt advanced energy measures and transition to all-electric construction. The program is an all-in-one solution that offers incentives for single-family, duplex, townhome, multifamily low-rise, alterations, and accessory dwelling units. The Energy Smart-Homes Program is available to utility customers in the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E®), San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E®), and Southern California Edison Company (SCE®) electric territories. Advanced Water Heating Initiative (AWHI)

AWHI is a member-funded collaborative of building owners, utilities, federal agencies, state and local governments, manufacturers, engineers, installers, advocates, researchers, and building industry professionals from across the United States. The initiative aims to scale heat pump water heater installations by shaping policies, building demand, bringing products to market, and educating the supply chain—and making heat pump water heaters universal in every home and business.
